GPS pointed under bridge, next to railway line, at the edge of the modern campus.

(488) Parked up at McDonalds, and bought a horrible coffee, but at least it was warm...., then a short walk back over the road bridge to view the general area. Reported as being 'destroyed' in the 60s. Certainly the area has been transformed in the ensuing decades.

Presumably this was the coaling plant for Lincoln locomotive shed, but much of the former railway land is now occupied by Lincoln University buildings, including a few conversions from railway use, but not the coaling plant.

Location was just west of the Brayford Way bridge which now runs over the site.
