A wander through the woodland track and I soon reached the trigpoint. A bit of a random spot, with limited views.

This was actually easier than expected. Followed blackboot29's route, although hadn't read his log but it's intuative after finding track marked on 1:25k map inaccessible. Pillar is within a wide thorn thicket, but it is not too dense as to preclude access - with a little care! Original top cap has been retained, raised lettering; LHD side sight hole is open. No views. A late comer to the party - computed 1960, levelled 1968.

Had trouble finding this one! End of track [which is now very overgrown] marked by large tree trunk. Pillar is in a deep thicket and easily missed. Faded white paint now mold-encrusted. Original plug with raised letters. E sight hole open. No views.

Track marked "Private" from south heavily blocked up with large logs and undergrowth. Once past that track reasonable for a while but clearly the landowner has been working on the drainage and dug up the remains of it. This might have killed the pillar as well, but there is a large section of inpenetrable thicket, which even after good scanning no pillar was visible. Possible return in winter to reduce vegetation cover.

vgc; metal cap, small raised letters; gap in FB no thus: 107_45; 20m SSW of point where track bends NNW at field boundary; in blackthorn scrub: awkward to reach. IIRC I entered the thicket from the W side. On LandLine its shown on E edge of track, between hedge and track. Someone else I know failed to find in Nov 2006 - scrub could have become more dense. Grid ref on LandLine is TM 41568 64278.
