How does this work. Working nights but on way to work made a detour to a housing estate to see a trig i knew wouldn't be there!!!

Old maps suggest the pillar was just inside the reservoir boundary so probably went to 'landscaping' rather than house.

There used to be a reservoir here (see old map), looks like it was filled in and a housing estate built on it. The main part of the estate is Claymere Avenue, was the reservoir possibly known as Clay Mere at one time?? Streetmap.co.uk still shows a blue area denoting water with the housing estate on top.
