A lovely start to my trip around the Imber path. Though this Trig is not on the path. The walk up from the carpark was quite hard as i went straight up. The views of the sunrise over Salisbury Plain made it worth it. Friendly enough cows but there are signs saying to keep your distance from them. Coming down i found a much less steep way. Thank goodness.

Just a short walk from the extreme western edge of Warminster where we parked. Trig was in good condition, some tumuli and earthworks to see and some reasonable views to be had. A pleasant walk. ***Re-visited 30 Nov 2012 to photograph FB. Good parking just off A362 at base of hill. Short walk up. Good views as an isolated hill. Pillar in good condition, cap missing, no plug. Ground around it is fast eroding - had its own private moat today.
