Once you locate the small area of wood it's in it's not hard to find, just stick to the far left hand corner and you're in business. It's next to a collapsed shed. I visited at sunset so the light was nice and it was quite plesent. I was here to activate it for the WAB trigpoint amateur radio award, space to setup the dipole antenna was limited but just about managed!

Since the shed obscures the view for the trigpoint, and the shed looks to be about 20 years old, I would think this trigpoint has been unused since the 1970s. The concrete column has a National Trust boilerplate set into one side with the words "National Trust" and "Clipper Down" on it. I guess the plate must be about 18 inches diameter. The top of the column has a hole vertically down into its bowels, which is just wide enough for an Etrex GPSr to slip down, never to be seen again! (No mine didn't, but it was close...).
