I visited at sunset so the light was nice and it was quite plesent. Interesting site, especially charming at this time of the year set amongst the bluebells.

Not sure if this one is publicly accessible but there's nothing stopping anyone from walking over to it. I certainly encountered no-one. Nice easy walk from TP1099.

It's always nice to see a pillar with a National Trust plaque. The pillar has no views and there's a lean-to type shed closeby which also detracts somewhat. Plug missing.

Located just inside the south corner of Crawley Wood. Structurally, the trig point is in good condition but the centre plug is missing so I'll follow my usual logging style and mark it as slightly damaged. All the other metalwork is in place. It has a rather nice National Trust plate set into the south face just above the flush bracket. I've been a bit generous with the score because the day I visited, the whole wood was just a mass of bluebells. Being inside the perimeter of the wood limits the views somewhat. The sighting hole on the east face is open but the other three are blocked with cement.

Trig point in generaly good condition, except for the missing plug. Best view of the day from here was the rutting deer in the next field. Other than this, views limitted by surrounding woodland.

This trigpoint exists, but is shown on OS maps in green (unused). It is located at the very corner of a wooded area, about 20m inside the wood, next to an old shed. Since the shed obscures the view for the trigpoint, and the shed looks to be about 20 years old, I would think this trigpoint has been unused since the 1970s. The concrete column has a National Trust boilerplate set into one side with the words "National Trust" and "Clipper Down" on it. I guess the plate must be about 18 inches diameter. The top of the column has a hole vertically down into its bowels, which is just wide enough for an Etrex GPSr to slip down, never to be seen again! (No mine didn't, but it was close...).
