Walked from footpath near golf course not sign posted typical of footpaths in this area. Footpath blocked by undergrowth after a few hundred yards so walked up field to rejoin path, parts where very muddy. Pillar in good condition with metal plug and on a concrete base. Goods views to brecons

Planned southern approach abandoned due to soft verges so eventually left the car to the East. No sign of footpath access but wandered through the hedge where it should have been and had no guilt about crossing the unmarked fences en route as a result. Good views but rain now starting to close in

More good views shame about troublesome access.

Splendid panarama out into Wales and Herefordshire but I've marked down the score due to proliferation of barbed wire fences. Access was tricky from lane to south. Nice short cropped grass though.

This one's all intact with the original plug. The digits on the flush bracket appear to have been recently polished! Only the east hole is not filled in. Quite a lot of paint remaining on all faces. The concrete base projects about 8" from the ground but the height of the grass in the field comes close! Great views in all directions - BUT..... What's that over there? Is it a bird? - NO! Is it a plane? - NO! Is it a MOBILE PHONE MAST?? - YES!!!
