This can be a wet one to get to. Rocky out cropping's to the north make it dry underfoot if not a little bit longer walk.

I had a walk out here to FTF a geocache. A nice remote place on a slightly grey day.

Had to admire Mr TJR who carried Charlie all the way! An 8km (minus all the bog trotting) from the beach carpark at Achnahaird to the trigpont, head for the crofts first and then the trigpoint, last 2 km is very boggy and tough going.

Connor and i left the rest of the family playing on the beach in the bay near the car park and walked about quarter of a mile to the pillar ! This is the first pillar I have visited without a flush bracket, great views on a lovely sunny day.

Connor Connor near some crofts on the way to the pillar.
Connor at the pillar Nice sunny day with great views.
The RockKnocker at the trig Every time you think that your about to get to the top of the hill to be at the trig there seems to be just one more little hill to climb.

A suprisingly dry walk from Reiff along the coastal walk. I think we were lucky.

vgc, metal cap, wide raised letters. Built without FB. Bogslog from S to moderately interesting viewpoint. Nice reedy lochans en route.

Ross and Cromarty. A somewhat boggy trek out to this trig point on the headland. There is no flush bracket. The coastal views are a fine reward for the effort.
