I do think Brum has a particular smell. Cycling through here really takes me back. But its been soooo long.... I cant remember much besides the smell. Had difficulty getting to this trig as the gate I was going to use by the School was locked. So had to go down to B4096 and hop over the fence. Loads of cows about but no prob getting to the trig.

Parked at the small layby and a .4 walk to the trig. Would have been more comfortable without the long grass but at least it was dry. Pillar has some damage to the top edges but considering its proximity to the Birmingham suburbs not too bad. Surprisingly nice vieews as well.

Decided to do this one today as I'd only just noticed it and how close it was to my home. Parked in Longbridge Lane and took the footpath half the way and then diverted off to my right. I have to say the fields were absolutely sodden and all the way uphill to the Trig. Trig is slightly damaged on one corner. Good views of a reservoir I didn't even know was there.

2nd trig of the day and the longest walk. Original cap in place

The easiest access is to park by Cofton Junior School on the cul-de-sac and then access the path that goes behind the houses. Its on a small knoll in a very wet field! The plug is OS original with slightly indented letters. There is no paint and several chunks of concrete are missing from the top corners. Some black graffiti on the E face. North sight hole open, the others closed. The concrete base is exposed slightly on all sides. Good views today S towards the Bittell Reservoir and Vale of Evesham and NW to Frankley Beeches.
