Pillar is in good order with all fixings in place. It has a roadside position giving the appearance of having been built upon a drystone wall, though it actually has its own raised plinth. A handy section of wooden fence eases access for the all important touch! Fine farmland scenery with some distinctive wee hills nearby I haven't got to know yet.

Roadside; mounted on a high concrete plinth and subsumed into a wide stone-constructed field boundary. Pillar retains an original top cap, deeply indented lettering; RHS sight hole open. With Carole Engel.

The pillar looked in good condition, however, I was parked at the end of the lane to the farm house and felt very conspicuous so didn't loiter. All to the amusement or Mrs Rat.

Log #64. Right next to road. Looked to be in good condition, but the farmer was feeding the sheep in the opposite field, so didn't want to jump the fence. [ExP-62/MiP-0/BM-2]

Stumbled upon our second trigpoint quite by accident while driving past. Great views all round.

Pillar VGC on elevated base plinth giving the impression of being built on top of drystane dyke. The BM height is 114.53m, and LR26 indicates 113m which is field ground level. Spider retains OS plug with deep indented font. FB faces 309°,NW. Vented through RHS sighting hole. Roadside, one wooden fence to hop over. Views to Cnoc Croit na Maoile, Beinn An Rudha Riabhaich, Sgurr Marcasaidh, An Cabar and Ben Wyvis. S8051 built 17th August 1954. Tertiary station in Block NH54, Inverness.
