Parked on road, quick walk down the field to find a very mossy trig. Probably the last trig I'll bag pregnant, 3 days overdue now 4 of 4 Nottinghamshire ticked off today.

Parked on Moor Lane opposite the Griffins Head at Papplewick and walked approx one mile towards Bestwood. I walked uphill along the field edge towards a very contemporary dwelling and the trig pillar was in the hedgerow heavily covered in moss

Parked on Robin Hood Way. Climbed over a gate and then walked the hedge line heading north east. The pillar, which is covered in moss, can then be found in the hedge a few hundred yards up from the gate

Easy walk along field boundary from metal gate. By second telegraph pole in field and beside large white house. Walking the last stretch of the Robin Hood Way between Kimberley and Burntstump Country Park. Frequent bus service back via Nottingham Victoria Bus Station.

re-visit. 1st 2010. The current house has replaced the house there at the time of my first visit. Over gate and up field. Pillar in hedge line and almost covered in moss.

Easy enough find , just follow the hedge line for approx 100 metres as far as the last house - pillar is in decent condition but well camouflaged in the hedge due to the amount of moss covering it

(1446) Parked up at the houses on Moor Road close to the gated entrance. Quite wide field margins, so despite the field being in crop, it was easy enough to walk to the pillar. Pillar is very moss covered, though the FB is relatively clear and readable. Pillar history: Built on the 22nd of August 1948, at a cost of £10 2s 10d. Last maintained by the OS in January of 1983.

Through gate to North of row of houses and up side of field track to GZ, heading towards the big modern-looking flat roof white house. Pillar currently buried in hedge, I had to do some bushwhacking to get a pic of the flush bracket. Good views across the cropfields to the NE.

Been to a 'steam day' with my brother at the nearby Papplewick Pumping Station which surprised me how good it was. The Victorians knew how to build. My brother indulged me in taking me to this easy to bag trig. Park up on the road, go through the metal gate in to the field, follow the hedge line aiming for the small electricity pylon, turn right at the pylon towards the modern white house and there is the trig in the hedge. Views limited.

The white (very modern-looking) house appearsd to be finihed although empty. Had a long chat over the hedge with the lady who lives next door to the new house who made a note of our website and seemed very interested. She said she would speak to the new owner about it. The pillar has some moss on it but still quite visible. Quite good views on a pleaasnt day.

Again made a mess of route to this Pillar on foot,still its my fifth and last of day.This one sits in hedge outside window of farm.Took route through gate up field edge,field planted with sweetcorn.Cannot hang about as there is bus stop in village bus to Nottingham due at 18/50 walk over for today.

Parked in the open gateway and walked up the side of the field – don’t go up the driveway. Fancy having a view of a trigpoint while you are doing the washing up.

Edge of a recently planted winter barley field... Found the location on 1" map. Just got my wellies on, and thought of confirming location with a local man who was just passing. He turned out to be the local gamekeeper, and walked up the field with me. See what people mean about the kitchen window :-) so close to the trig. You could scare the horses a bit ....

The lady of the house did come to the sink but didn't see me as I visited this one alone {Shane didn't fancy slogging up the potato rows in open toed sandals!) Quite overgrown now and very little to recommend it. Plug with indented lettering.
