By calling it Coombe Hill, it gets confused with another "Coombe Hill" on the other side of Wendover, which also has a trig on it, but that is named Monument Hill, because it has a monument on it, though it is known locally as Coombe Hill. At 260m, Coombe Hill trig is almost at the highest point in the Chilterns - this spot is at SP890092, 269m, about 1k to the south, and also marked with a small monument hidden in the depths of Wendover Woods.

So I walked through the woods from the Forestry Commission car park in Wendover Woods. Actually, it was a very pleasant walk. The trig point is slap, bang in the middle of a field right on a public footpath. The field is surrounded by woodland that effectively blocks the view but it's nice enough. The centre plug is missing and the hole blocked with cement/resin/something else so I'll follow my usual method and mark it as 'slightly damaged'.
