It says something about the egalitarian nature of this hobby that my first trig of the decade is this tiny roadside rivet and not some lofty mountain top pillar! Thanks to previous visitors for their helpful photographs.

Took a few minutes to get this one found after scraping back the turf/loose freshly cut grass with my foot. I have seen pictures before of this one but it didn't make it much easier to spot in the flesh as I couldn't get the images to load on my phone. Got there in the end though and got a photo with my finger for scale. Felt like a proper anorak doing this one and was glad none of the passing cars stopped to ask what I was up to!

Quick find due to pictures, it's a wee one, had to scrape off the leaf litter first ;-)

Kicked aside a wee bit of overgrown grass and hey presto. Easy thanks to the photos on here, cheers! Went for a wander round Fort George after, pretty cool place and some great coastal views from the outer ramparts. No dolphins tho, boo...

Well, it's a rivet! What else can I say? Joyriding on bike and thought I'd have a look for it.

Well yup serious anoraks or what. Back out again to find something that was about the size of a pinhead. However was found eventualy by Mr Allymac. Situated about 300 yards from the famous Fort George.
Pinhead (excuse the quality I couldnt stand still)

What am I doing? This thing's smaller than a 5p coin but somehow I was drawn to find it! It's the anorak I tell you, the anorak! Unremarkable location and a few funny looks from passing visitors to Fort George, however located successfully under debris courtesey of an improvised broom cunningly fashioned from a whin branch.
Another stripe to my anorak please! There it is, right there, honest...
Just to give an idea of scale. Yes, I travelled over 20 miles to find this!
