(1495) Several flagstaffs have been present at Kew over a period of 150 years or so. The flagstaff used by the OS was replaced Nov 1959, so there's a slight discrepancy in dates, as they have the station as being destroyed Jan 1960. Some concrete blocks remain at the site, but I guess these relate to the final flagstaff, which was the largest in the world. This was taken down 2007, due to it having become unsafe. The exact spot of the former flagstaff has been replanted, as there are no plans to erect a new flagstaff.

No flagstaff visible. Was driving past Kew Gardens on A307 and was unable to stop for a photo of where the flagstaff would have been.
