Viewed from TP1536 Botley Hill. Bolt assumed to be at the top of the tower and hence inaccessible. No mast visible.

Water tower erected 1931.Impossible to gain access to bolt but some device sticking out of top

drove down track to by compound. had a nose around and left. uninspiring.

Visited today (20 Jul 2016) not having realized I was here 4 years earlier doing Botley Hill, therefore a retrospective log with photos from today's visit. OS lists Bolt and Mast. No access to investigate the Bolt and no Mast seen - only what is probably a lightning conductor, as shown in second photo. Lettering above the door is possibly East Surrey Water Co 1931.
