Easy to get to just parked safely in one of the bigger laybys - forced due to jacknifed lorry - enjoyed the walk up the trig plate was over grown so had to clear to read the plate - another one to tick off the bucketlist - views ok

Walked over ploughed field from N

'Walked around field edges to pillar' - sounded simple but took a while, fields had been ploughed and not much left of the edges! Perhaps Mr U2 started up hill - where as I started down below. Parked in passing place opposite Mill of Keithfield. Huge clump of grass in front of flush bracket, exposed most of it but it was a tough bit of grass I can tell you!

On the edge of an arable field under power line. Pillar in good condition but it was necessary to dig a channel to photograph the flush bracket. Spider retains original OS centre plug with deep indented lettering. Flush bracket faces west across field. The column is vented through the back sighting hole. Views to Bennachie, Core Hill and Knock.
