Down the muddy, splashy track, then a hop over the fence to find this one. Quite well hidden despite the season. The pillar seems to have sunk a little, or there's been some soil creepage. Whatever the reason, the FB number is covered up once again. Cap remains in place. Couldn't see any sight-holes.

Damaged pillar in hedgerow. Seems quite sunken although probably just ploughsoil piling up around it. Pillar is definitely off true measured as ~6 degrees off level! Large chunk taken out of a corner indicating the trig has probably had a serious dunt at some point. FB faces west-ish and nearly buried with minor car-key based excavation required. No sightholes even visible, let alone open. Cap present with sunken lettering. Quite nice views considering....

Intact metal, but the hedge trimmers have taken their toll one big corner chunk missing and a smaller corner chunk as well.

The pillar was completed on 1st September 1939 costing £4.13s.5d. In 1947 this marker was computed for triangulation as tertiary station NT18/T17 in the Dunfermline secondary block. The flush bracket was levelled for height in 1964. This trig point was last maintained by the OS in April 1970. Faces into arable field. Minor digging to read flush bracket number.
