3/3 Dropped off Gamriw down steep SSE slope, had expected tussock bog over vast saddle to S but no, ground was all surprisingly firm even after exceptional rain this winter. Via cairn at Carn-y-Geifr which gave shelter for a few minutes, then on, gently downward to pillar, original cap. Steep drop off to Cwm Chwefri for walk out to Red Lion.

Parked off-road below Craig Chwefru at SN 9566 5782. Walked back SE along road until steep ascent on bridleway to left. After about 500m, struck off NW towards TP. Great views all round on a beautiful day. Descent via steep face directly to roadway (not recommended!). Left car in situ, and hiked to TPs Gorllwyn and Gamriw.

Still trying to work out how many other trigs I can see from this point assuming a clear day. Its at least 8 but could be higher. Steady walk in on Bridleway but parking is limited (ended up in a passing place as the road was so quiet) Trig in very good condition but lacking in paint. GR and Photos to follow
