No flush bracket (never had one, not missing). West-ish sighthole open only. Cap is missing with no plug. Superb 360 views especially across to Merrick/Rhinns of Kells. Southern Upland Way now run right past the track with a new metalled path and picnic table. Made it easy to climb but feels sort of tamed. Accessed via Derry on a round trip to visit the Laggangarn standing stones. Linn's Tomb and Wells of the Rees also worth a visit on that stretch of the SUW.

I had to wait 15 minutes for the 2 forestry men to remove the remains of a recently felled tree before driving to the cut off to the second last farm where I parked. Mist lifting so good views after reversing SUW to gain top. No flush bracket.

Miserable misty day on the Southern Upland Way. We parked just short of Derry and walked in but the track is in excellent condition (better than the last few miles of tarmaced public road) and you could drive right to the foot of the hill.

On the SUW, having spent the night in the Laggangarn wigwam. Jarred my right knee coming down (not used to carrying a full pack any more..) & it took months to recover.
