A hike up Rhigos mountain Craig Y Llyn from Rhigos. The ROW paths are mainly overgrown and the one through the Rugby club in Rhigos non existent. This made the hike down longer than expected. Trig is hidden behind some trees. Many of the tracks through the forest have obstacles of fallen trees, thought I was going to run out of daylight. Great walk in the area though and lovely trig to top it off.

Parked at the roadside viewpoint car park on the A4061 overlooking Llyn Fawr. Shortish walk (1.5miles) to the trig. Lovely views whilst en-route to the pillar, but with the trig being located in a managed forest of Japanese larch (I think), there are no views from the pillar itself. Also, due to the forest location, the pillar is moss and lichen encrusted. Otherwise it's in good condition; 3 sight holes sealed, 1 open (slowly filling with moss); original cap is missing and no plug.
