I was followed down the narrow country lanes by a car that I discovered was fellow bagger Dougswell. Now if they moved all fenced reservoir trigs to nice locations like this I would be happy. We did the bagging stuff then went our own way and met up later as Oakhampton hostel, well Bracken Tor actually.

We walked up to the hillfort but could find no evidence of where the pillar had been. There's a small plaque on the pillar beneath one of the sighting holes which says the pillar was built in February 1949 and moved in 1993.
