OS designator CATT. Mounted on the E gable end of a small industrial unit within the Amey yard of Catterick Garrison. Foreman confirmed we are on a military base, but happy for me to snap the station, had a good chat about hill and trig bagging. The antenna is a Leica AR20, installed June 2016, presumably as a replacement for the Richmond stn RICM, since destroyed, although the OS files don't provide a date for that. Removed 2022 and replaced by CATE (Catterick 2).

Located on the end of a building within compound viewed from outside, looks to be in good condition

Took some getting to many roads blocked off.Gates locked for the day big security but coud easily see the station to photograph.

In Amey yard, locked and deserted Sun eve, easily visible from gate to S, drive in from west

Quick photos from outside the gate although the signage implies non-military use of some of the units. Leica active station on a pole, slightly different shape from the usual.

Clearly visible on the east edge of the roof from the road at entrance to maintenance yard. Didn't want to risk getting get any closer. Installed June 2016, presumably in anticipation of Richmond AS being taken out of circulation.
