Drove down the valley after a long days walking spotted the pillar from the car. Followed the path to Dollar law almost to it. Good views thought briefly about walking up tho the corbett summit but declined.

Parked at Manorhead and walked back up the valley to bag this TP then headed W up the hillside to Pykestone Hill then S to Dollar Law. That completes all of the 7 Megget pillars having done the other 6 last autumn.

As others a quick up from roadside. Great view along the Manor valley.

Easy roadside parking to SE. 400m up the hill and 80m elevation gain, quick nip up and down before main walk of the day. No FB, no centre tube or sight holes. Standard OS spider but centre cap missing. Otherwise all in good order.

Having visited Syart Law in 2017, I was keen to visit its anomalous counterpart in the Manor Valley. Lovely position not too far up the hillside with the north end of the Meggat Pipeline visible.

Slightly slimmed-down Hotine-shaped pillar with standard OS spider but no FB, centre tube or sighting holes. On hillside at c.340m. Chance find by Graeme P in 1984 - mossier now but otherwise VGC. Apparently associated with the Megget Reservoir construction (1976-1983) - which has its own non-standard pillar Syart Law). It likely relates to the tunnel which conveys the Megget water via pipeline to Edinburgh.
