Visited several times before but never logged. Today I was with Dearne Valley Walking Group on a circular hike out of Crich. A great but humbling place to visit. Today there was a cloud inversion providing for a very different landscape. The pillar looks great with a recent paint job and retains all its metalwork. There's just a little bit of wear to the concrete on the top

Located behind the Crich Memorial Tower. Looking great with its new paint job, with clear views to sites of other nearby trigs. I parked in a lay-by opposite the gate to the memorial. The main (car) gate itself was closed, but there's a kissing gate to the side which you could use. There's a 50p donation to see the tower, which I happily paid. If the car park is open, then theres a £1.50 charge. The sign does also suggest that the memorial has opening times (10am - 4/5pm depending on the time of the year) and is closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. I'm not sure if this would restrict access to the trig outside of these hours, but I opted to visit when they were "open" just in case.
