agree junction completely reconstructed, chamber with its surround and rivet surely long gone

As this rivet's never had a positive log here then chances are with the road improvements it's now been lost, if it hadn't already gone. However, GPS lead me to a point on the grass verge next to the new footpath where there are extant inspection chambers as shown on OS sketch, although ground is very stoney so may well be hardcore beneath the grass from the the road works. But wouldn't be surprised to find it's hiding somewhere still, hence marking it as 'Couldn't Find It'.

This road junction has been totally dug up and redesigned in the last few years... If you want proof of that, just compare the aerial photos on Google Maps with the Google streetview of the same place. The grassy island that used to inhabit the centre of the junction, shaped like a half-moon, has now totally gone. All the furniture is brand new and you can see from the lines of the roads compared to the old photos that everything was dug up during the overhaul. And that includes our rivet.

Have to go with Possibly missing as i know how elusive these things can be.My gut feeling is that it has gone but maybe someone will prove me wrong.Layout of covers is similar except the one near the Rivet which is a replacement sprayed blue.Time will tell if its still there!

I had no more joy. Many of the features on the OS sketch are missing. I measured up from what I assume is the telecom cover, and had no joy with my tent peg. The kerb is different; the signs are different; the two covers nearest the rivet seem to be missing. My guess is it disappeared at the same time.

Decided to attack this one today armed with the OS sketch and tape messure. Mesuring done, the only thing at the spot was some soft patch of earth and a discarded pen. So it looks like it may have been removed/moved. There are a number of rivet like things on the main road with triangles round them, so maybe they are trying out some possible new locations???

Found the general location easily but there was no sign of the rivet and I didn't have the necessary prodding tools with me and also the time of the kickoff at Wycombe was getting a bit close for comfort so had to abandon this one. It shouldn't be too difficult to find, however, and needs another visit.
