(1357) Easy close by parking. A short, but steep climb up the hill to the pillar. A few folks was at the top, but none of them was trig-bagger's, and they soon moved on allowing me to bag the pillar in peace. Very impressive views, and the hole in the ground that is the quarry is something to be seen. Pillar heavily over painted - including metal work, and a curious 'thing' is now the plug. Still, I'll award this a fairly high mark for the location.

The pillar has been painted white and then graffitied , and the metalwork has been prised off the top , but the column is substantially intact.
