Log #179. Solo round of the Cromdales, west-to-east. Approached from Creagan a' Chaise. Simple up-and-down from Carn Eachie. The track disappears for a while as you traverse a boggy area, but it pops back up again for the last few hundred metres. The pillar is in good condition, but the cap is missing and has been left open. Unlike its neighbour, Carn a Ghille Chearr has a fairly flattish summit, but the views are just as good: Ben Rinnes is easily visible, as are Carn na Loine, Roy's Hill, Corryhabbie, and the Ladders to the south-east. Descended via the Knock Burn track - it was a little bit harder to find than expected, and be careful that you don't end up in the gully itself, as it is very steep-sided. The track eventually leads back down to the Avon, and to Balcorach car park. 20.69km circular trip in all. [ExP-148/MiP-3/Rev-2/BM-11/IS-12/Other-3]
