Parked on Gazala Drive. Took the public right of way (PRoW) from Church Lane. Gradually veered north west off the PRoW, climbing over a barbed wire fence and two gates in the process. Then climbed up a steep hill to the pillar from the west. The cap is missing

The first of two Worcestershire pillars that day. Had to dodge around using some poorly waymarked footpaths but got there kin the end. Lovely views west to distant Malvern Hills.

The solitary tree sets off Crookbarrow really well.

Bridleway appears to have been diverted. From the ENE over wet grassy field then BWF to the splendid little summit with trig and fine views.

Parked in large layby on dual carriageway to N and used vegibagger's approach, with secateurs. Must be an easier way up because six empty beer cans and bottles littered summit - collected and removed.

First Trig I have bagged since I have moved. It is one that I can cycle to from my new address. Asked at the farm house just off the B4084 and a very pleasant woman, not only gave permission, but showed me the best way up to the trig. Good views all around.

Called at the house; chap with a N American twang happily showed me the 'easiest' route - happened to be the longest, but I followed his instructions round to the W side and up through a field gate. Pillar sits atop a small but prominent little hill giving extensive panoramic views. Composite cap replaces the metal plug; front sight hole sealed, other 3 open. Slight damage to top screed in vicinity of a tie-down loop, otherwise good.

Parked at nearby layby and walked to farmhouse. Spoke to a lady there who gave me permission to take a photo of the pillar. Short sharp walk to the top of the tump and what views to be had. 360 degrees. Pillar in good condition.

GOML from farm to north so take footpath off the SW side of roundabout. Go down to corner where ROW turns left. make way right, through woodlands for 20-30m, (I've secateured easier access, up field edge and over barbed wire fence at base of hill slope and up to top.

Been on my to do list for years, only a short drive from work. Followed bridleway then skirted field around hill to an easy entrance through hedge. Horsey people about but out of sight. Splendid 360 views inc Worcester. Malverns and Bredon Hill. Humid and claggy. Noise from M5 very loud. 86m

The pillar was visible as I cycled up the main road from the South East. The hill is almost like a castle motte in its steepness and isolation. Found unsigned gate from main road/motorway island and followed round to West before finding gap in hedge and headong back North East to climb hill. Excellent all round views.

Same approach as barnsley skip except there is now a "path" between twp electrified fences which keep the horses apart. An easy ascent brings you to the summit. Surprisngly good views as it is very close to the M5.

Parked in the lay by on the A44 heading towards Worcester. Walked back towards the roundabout passing the Pegasus Equestrian Centre to take the footpath round the edge of the field till I crossed the fence next to the dead tree see photo. head toward the hill on private land but cannot be seen from the horse centre helped over fence by fallen tree. Good views of the Malvern Hills trig in good condition.

I think this one has got more difficult to get to over time and now involves negotiating a couple of fences between to footpath to the south east and the top of the hill. The cache is diabled which makes me think people have had trouble with access recently.

Approached along path from South West. There is also a gate onto the path at the top of the M5 northbound sliproad with a layby 100m or so along the road into Worcester.

I could see the trig point as well (TP0724 [T1SO7645]) with my little telescope at 13km away bearing roughly 240 degrees.

Not marked on all recent 1:50000 maps but it's definitely there. Quite a sweet little hump of a hill but proximity to motorway makes location less attractive.

An M5 landmark. A small and obvious hill with a single tree on top, next to junction 7. There is a well marked path up to the pillar and conker tree. Pillar in good condition, but with a metal plug replacement.

On summit of small but pronounced knoll right by Junction 7 of M5. Intact but hole in top has been filled in. Fantastic views over Worcester, to malvern and to Bredon Hill and Cotswolds. There is even a lone horse chestnut tree to sheter under! Public path leads to summit.

Visible from the M5 going north.Wetried to ask permission to visit at teh farm, but it seemed to be deserted so we went anyway.Got surrounded by curious bullocks who insisted on being on the photo.
