There is no need to ask the Farmer's permission as it's a shorter walk SbyE along the public footpath from Newland Lane!

I parked near the farm bunglows and was hesitating about where to ask permission whne the farmer drew up in his 4x4. He gladly gave me permission for the ascent, thanked me for asking permission and said he would go and tell his son. He urged me to make sure I closed the gate behind me when entering and leaving the field. A nice stroll up the sheepy field and a small copse at the top with a well preserved trig point.

Parked near the farm, nobody about to ask permission though we did try, so walked back to the gateway and then up the hill, evidence of plenty of sheep though non about this afternoon, nice views in all directions.

Basically can be seen from road. I parked in the gateway, opened the gate, walked up and down the hill without being challenged. (Had not read advise to check at farm first.) Pillar in good condition. Nicely located on top of round hill.

In a small copse at the top of small hill. On way out climbing over the gate, a 4X4 drove down drive to Crutch farm but paid us no attention, which was lucky as I had not read the access advice given by previous visitors.

A lovely small hill close to my home town. Mum knows the land owners so we wandered up with permission. Do ask at the farm if you are going! Did this one just before we walked the dog along a little of the Wychavon way just down the lane. Me, Mum. 77m

My 700th trig (not that I realised it at the time) Parked by the farm and approached off the minor road (good gate). Trig condition unchanged but was chased down by a 4x4 and a farmer checking what I was doing. Explained I was checking over the trig to look at its condition check it was intact etc and he asked me if it was still straight enough as he was worried the badgers had undermined it:-) No issue to him over access but if others visiting soon a call into the farm first might be diplomatic.

On the way home now after picking 8 lbs. of blackberries in our favourite spot. This pillar is accessed through a gate off a lane N of Droitwich. It's now surrounded by a small copse of relatively young trees and an easily-climbed barbed-wire fence. It's all intact with a plug with indented letters. Some white paint still visible. N sighthole open, the others closed. Good views S over Droitwich and in all other directions over surrounding agricultural land. The Droitwich radio masts are well-known local landmarks to the NE.
