Got the bus out to Cross of Greet and planned to walk along to Bowland Knots and return, took around 2 hours in total. The track marked on open street maps and ordinance survey was very hard to follow and largely invisible, but navigational was fine by following fences. Mostly walking over long grass which didn't significantly effect progress. Good views from the trig point.

No track or footpath from Burn Moor trig until reaching Ravens Castle but the odd sheep trail on either side of the fence (which is easy to stradle) helps but be prepared for bog and add about a 3rd in distance to circumnavigate such. From Ravens Castle a 4x4/quad bike track leads to within spitting distance of the trig. Very hazy today but the 3 peaks were visible. Nice setting at the end of the crag. No cars - on foot!
