This one caused me a lot of grief, as it's in the wrong place on the map! My current edition OS Explorer Sheet 217 has the pillar just SW of the mobile phone mast. This is the exact spot where there is a huge compost heap!! I was contemplating how I might solve this problem when I caught sight of the pillar about 100 yards to the NE of the mast on the edge of the hedge! It's all intact with the original plug on the edge of a newly-harvested rapeseed field. Access is easy through a farm gate. The north hole is open, the rest closed. No visible paint, but a lot of lichen! There are lovely views N towards Church Stretton; W towards the Long Mynd; and SW down the Marches. All views E obscured by hedge and the b****y mobile-phone mast doesn't help!
