Nice spot only work around the corner but hadn't known about this being a trig pillar spot until checking out BM site. Not sure what I'd expected to find after the top triggers couldn't find it but couldn't resist having a look. Nothing here except a short cut to home!

OS records this destroyed September 1964. It was originally sited where the boundary fencing is now located for the covered reservoir, on the S side near the SW corner. As it happens almost exactly where I found the only breach in the chain-link fencing that hadn't been repaired. This allowed access up onto the reservoir, although not sure Ineeded to go in, other than look for the destroyed trig rivet that was on the E side of the compound.

found the hole in the fence and were rewarded with a lovely view of the car but nothing else, only came for the tump but would have been rude not to log the trig's while here.

I did not manage to find Dustys hole in the fence but did have a wander around but no sign of the trig. Driving up to this high point in rush hour is interesting along the narrow roads from the east and every commuter in Swansea taking a short cut by the looks of it.

Second visit. First time (20.10.07) I only gave a score of 1. However I returned to take a photo or two and this time gained access to the top of the reservoir via gap in fence. Views from here are good. OS One-Inch map 1963/64 gives height of 577ft. No reservoir and only one mast.

I'ts down a lane, passing rather a new housing estate. Possible replaced by a reservoir and the two masts. Gates locked, so not really good access by vehicle. Fly tippers visit here. But, almost certainly gone now. But really nice views of Swansea and the Valleys! Anyway, it doesn't look too good for the trig point with fly tipping, two large masts, a reservoir, ploughed fields and a housing estate!

I'm doubting it's existence...

I got a funny feeling it's gone..
