Heading east along main road, B655, tricky turn off to right for small car park to east of hill especially with a DHL van right on your tail. West along the Icknield Way for about two hundred meters to gate which was chained shut. Over bar gate to head uphill. Bit of a climb. Gorse bushes at the top hide the pillar which is on the north side of the summit. It sits on a plinth similar to the one at Warden Hill (just visited). There are mounds and pits at the top. Good views all around. Couple of walkers went past, who barely paused at the pillar so reckoned they were just out for a walk not bagging TPs.

Love this place! From a convenient car park along a bridleway, a gate in the hedge leads into a sheepfield which offers an easy climb to the top of a very pretty hill with an attractively pitted surface strewn with small trees and a trig on a plinth. Lovely sunny day means I get to enjoy the expansive views in all directions at their very best. Locations like this are why I keep doing this! Sorry to see the FB has been defaced, but hopefully not permanently.

The concrete generally is in good condition despite being in a popular view point and a favourite thing for kids to climb on. It is aligned at about 60 degrees to magnetic north with the flush bracket on the north easterly face. The views, especially over central Bedfordshire to the north, are good and worth the climb.
