Left main road and followed Summer Hall Ing up to top and row of houses known as "The Acre". Un signed footpath to their left, turn right on further path behind houses, then after about 20 feet climb steep bank on left under trees. Pillar is off to right, but of course I headed left first and trampled many grasping thorned shoots in my search! However, did heighten the sesnse of achievement when found. Didn't seem too hard, perhaps more recent visitors have carved the way through! No views due to all the vegetation. 20th pillar of the week based at Haworth YHA, and now on way home.

After a quick explanation and some directions from them I was up next to pillar which is tricky even with directions, as it lost in thick brambles, not one for the summer I suggest. Pillar is slightly damaged with a small area of exposed core. Seriously grotty area, my car felt safe with the scrap man!!!

As pointed out by carolengel previously, you need secateurs here. Not only is the gorse 8 ft high now, but all the undergrowth is brambles. On top of that, it is a steep climb up to the top of this hill. It looks like an old Motte & Bailey structure. It was a dry sunny day today, but I wouldnt recommend this after heavy rain. When I finally located the trig there wasnt much in the way of views, as you cant see over the top of the thick gorse! Triggers photo demonstrates the height of the scrub. A nightmare trig!

Not the easiest pillar to locate. Well hidden in mid-summer gorse. I followed the track passed Carr House and just as it became a narrow path [and very muddy] I branched off up the banking into an area of scrub and gorse. I think it was more by luck that the pillar found me rather than I found it as it was very well hidden. Quite a chunk of concrete missing from one edge giving access to the central rubble core. I retrace my steps through the adjacent housing estate. Rather a grotty area with absolutely no views worth noting but the main thing is that it is still there.
