Followed signs for sae front through Clevedon, couple of quick pictures of the bandstand and Bristol Channel, then about quarter of a mile north of the pier turned east onto housing estate and drove uphill as far as a pathway up through trees. On foot headed uphill, worn pathways through the woods onto open ground at the top. Fairly straightforward to locate pillar. Overlooking Clevedon, reasonable views to east and south. Views west obscured by trees. Cap missing. Raised S prefix. Quite a bit of graffiti. Two of the numbers on the FB are chipped or possibly not cast quite properly, have seen similar ‘chipped’ numbers before.

Walked up from Dial Hil Road, nice easy find at the top. Good views across the countryside inland and a snippet through the trees towards the marine lake and beyond. Tree and Bush cover stops an all round view. Pillar good apart from the purple spots and flush bracket showing some age with a bit of wear.

Easily accessed via the path opposite the bus stop on Dial Hill Road. Trig is very visible on the left as soon as you reach the top. The blotchy purple spots are an interesting look - not sure if this patterning is deliberate or not. Decent view across the countryside from the hill, and a couple of nice views across the Severn from Dial Hill Road. Nearby Kings Road boasts an Edward VIII pillar box.

Travelling to Somerset to collect junior from airport on return from Ibiza. While still in s. Wales, took call that covid boarding test rejected as lacking key % figures!! Rather than cross bridge, lagered in Newport area until message arrived from Ibiza that after frantic last minute retest and race through terminal, boarding had been achieved. So crossed Severn bridge and with 2hrs in hand, diverted off M5 into Clevedon, parking in big shopping CP. Walked through nice town centre (it was sunny) and wound up hill past grand old town houses, skirted cricket ground to pillar. Probably excellent vantage point, unfortunately, all but a narrow view to the east was obscured by mature trees.

Second visit to Clevedon visiting a friend. She didn't even know Clevedon had a pillar. A tad muddy and it started raining a bit hard as we walked back down. Very overcast so no good view at that time. Part painted purple, it's clear from other photos that it was painted purple in about 2018 before which it was a spotted colour. Interesting to see what colour it will be next!

Hmmm, painted purple at some stage by the looks of it. A tad muddy at top and around the point.

Short cycle up a hilly road to get to this first trig of the day. Plenty of dogs walking with their owner on the way up the grassy hillock to get to it. Easy to find and not in bad condition,even if it looked like it was painted purple not that long ago.

I parked to the south and made my way to the trig point across the sports field then up the slope to the trig point. I explained to the lady dog walker sat on the bench what I was doing so as not to spook her when I started taking photos. Instead she probably left thinking there is a strange man up there taking photos of concrete blocks, purple ones at that.

Returning from a walk round Leigh Woods, and both over and under the Clifton Suspension Bridge - superb engineering. Pillar is now pink with patches of the earlier Frisian coming through. Nice sunset; views E are reasonable but the potentially better ones W over the Severn Estuary obscured by trees. Centre and all s/holes open, but otherwise structurally sound.

Nice paint job! Gives a whole new meaning to the term "I've just spotted a trig pillar!". Located on Pillow Mound on common land in the middle of Clevedon, access is straight forward. Pillar is in good condition.

Fantastic views on a clear day as today. Some damage to the base of the nos.2 & 7 on FB but still legible. Pillar painted like fresian cow (i.e black and white) and centre brass shaft in top of pillar missing.

A bovine TP of the Fresian variety, interesting. Easily accessed from footpath at the west end of Dial Hill Road. Take the north path and turn right after a short distance climbing uphill, and there it is. Nice views looking south and west, a bright sunny little spot with a convenient bench nearby.

This is a reasonably tidy pillar considering its location near a busy town. There is no obvious damage. However, it has been painted in "Daisy" style cow markings, which are beginning to fade. Perhaps a re-paint is due. The views are fine though not 360 degrees due to some tree occlusion. It was a bit hazy but with nearby benches, a lovely place to stop for a while.

A wonderful summers day cycled from my daughters home on the outskirts of town. Do you want to come with us to Ikea, Dad? Answer no. At the tender age of 50 plus I dont think I ll take up mountain bikeing managed the assent, just. The decent er no. Is this the same person who would think nothing of absailing off railway viaducts or wet caving in Yorkshire. Yes I m getting old. Oh and that concrete block at the top of the hill, nothing special.

Yes I can still do this. mascot Repsov H4H Bear enjoys a day out. Photo added a lot lot later than the original visit.

We parked on the road next to the cricket pitch and walked up to the Trigpoint. Flush bracket numbers 2 & 7 have the bottoms missing, a ‘casting’ error by the looks, found the same at our previous trig at Middle Hope as well. Very foggy and cold still, could not enjoy the views. Looked like a very nice area though, with some nice walks. We will have to re-visit in the summer. Its New Years Eve. This is our last Trig of 2008. From Chris & Phil, HAPPY NEW YEAR everyone.

vgc except FB numbers damaged. BSM style FB. No cap or plug. Scrubby sumits with network of grassy paths, muddy path from SW, rainy late Sat afternoon: last trig of the day. Gave up for the weekend and headed home - very useful early-season tidying-up session.

The pillar is sited next to a public bench in a small area of open ground popular with the dog walkers of Clevedon, it has FB S//3275 but lacks a cap or plug. Several paths lead to the summit of this small hill, I approached by means of the path from the junction of Dial Hill Road and Kings Road. To the south the pillar looks over the suburbs of the town to the Mendip Hills, to the east are the hills that flank the Gordano Valley and to the north is the Mouth of the Severn with the Welsh coast just visible in the haze. The Zig Zag path that descends from Dial Hill Road to the town affords good views of the town and its sea front.

On a hill in open-access land just off Dial Hill Road. Surprising good condition for such a place. No plug. All sightholes open. Some paint to be seen. Lovely views S to Mendips and W to Newport. N views restricted by trees. Now for the local Geocaches!

Surprisingly remote given it is within the town of Clevedon - well worth a visit! Plug missing but otherwise surprisingly good condition. A trip to the historic pier is also recommended afterwards.

Nice whitish pillar with plenty of benches around it if you feel like a sit down once you've struggled to the top of the hill. Good views. Plug missing.

Beware the local one way system if coming from the south aim to the coast not through the centre when driving. Otherwise easy short walk with pleasant view not at its best in the snow squalls
