Parked up by the bus shelter and a nice quick walk up as the ground was frozen. Lovely area for a walk and trig was easy to find.

(3318) Parked on the main road, and then a steady 300m walk brings you to the pillar. Sits in a lovely spot - very peaceful. Some good views on offer once clear of the trees. And the sound of steam trains could be heard. Googling later reveals it's the nearby Foxfield Railway. Pillar damaged along the top. Suspect the elements found a weak point, and it has since continued to worsen. This one is a suitable candidate for some TLC I think. All metalwork still retained - centre cap with lightly indented letters. A nice one to bag all told, so awarding it some extra points. Pillar history: Built on the 23rd of March 1938, at a cost of £4 18s 8d. Last maintained by the OS in July of 1978.

Easy enough to find. As people have said park by the wooden bus shelter on the road between boundary and dilhorne. Follow the clear path. As it dorks left look for the high point in the wood and about 30 meters on there it is in a slight opening. It’s slightly damaged but a good one to tick off the list.

Parked on a road called 'The Common'. Took the PRoW, and then took the right fork after a few hundred yards. The pillar can then be found to the left of the PRoW, in a copse. The top has a nasty chip in it, probably caused by a collision with agricultural machinery.

Easily accessible via footpath. Footpath is just by a wooden bus stop on the road from Dilhorne to Boundary. Follow the path to the style, after crossing style bear right but veer to your left. The Trig sits nicely in a coppice of trees. Damaged on 2 top corners.

re-visit, previous 2008. Left bike at crossroads to East and followed footpath. Sited in a copse of birch trees. Several dog walkers around. Having been heavily overcast since shortly after setting out, the skies annoyingly cleared on the way home.

Parked at village hall, walked up to church then followed Moorland way path up hill to a stile into the thinly wood summit. There is then an obvious half right footpath up to the trig. Called at the church on the way back and a very nice lady made us a lovely cup of tea ( Sats only).

Good parking in the gateway. Two walkers in the woods near the trigpoint reading a map – but strangely they didn’t pay the monument a visit.

Easy walk along straight path / track from NE from just beyond Dilhorne Common. Then directly on to pillar on path. In a small wooded area, so restricted views. Could hear steam trains chuffing along on nearby Foxfield Steam Railway.

Pillar damaged ,corner broken off top RHS of Flush Bracket. View around pillar obscured by ring of trees, mainly Siver Birch. However there is a gap to the NE,with a view of Electrcity pylons. Weather, overcaste, breezy and some sight drizzle.

Nice one near the geocache. Seems a bit weird in the middle of a small wood. Normally they have wide open views. Small chip on the top but otherwise very good condition.

I think the small chip at the top of the pillar doesn't qualify for slightly damaged so like Fasgadh I'm saying condition good. A pleasant spot though a bit soggy. Plug with indented lettering.

Pleasantly situated in a small open birchwood overlooking some sandstone gullies. Miserable sod in nearby bungalow just ignored me. A few corners starting to crack at the top, but I am still going to call it good. All brass work where it should be. Wood was so pleasant I first thought that it was an oversized garden, but no problems hopping off the nearby footpath.
