Bagged as YSM616 Dinedor Hill. Parked at church then walked up private road to gate. Then followed footpath but had to then go off route to find a gated route to the pillar. Think we may have come up the wrong side. Good views. Surprised to find trig was a PokeStop!

I've been meaning to get to this trig for a while so today was a good excuse. We parked up to the east and walked up the footpath by the woods and then carried on and headed directly up the field after we had found a way through a gate quite a bit past the trig, and then headed back on ourselves across the open field to spot the trig easily as it was sitting in the open in the middle of the field. Nice views across Rotherwas and worth the effort to get here.

Great views on this sunny winter day - so why did I take my photo with the Hereford sewage works in the background? It seemed rather big for a small town - no comments please! Followed mickandshane's route for parking and access.

This is a great spot! The pillar is in magnificent isolation atop a hill in a parched pasture field [there is a MPM not far away but we'll forget that!] with glorious views over Hereford to the N and down the Marches to the S. The plug is original - deeply-indented letters. Some paint visible. S sighthole open, others closed. Not easy to access - walked up from Dinador village and had to cross one awkward fence N of the footpath then it was easy.

Park on the corner in the Village of Dinedor then follow a road and footpath as Dan say fences are crossed but walking 2/3 of the way along the FP leads to a gap in the hedge with a railing that is firmer and a track cuts the angle back to near the trig. Which is well worth the visit and offers the best view of the town and the surrounding area of the local trigs.
