Parked at the golf club and had a wander round the moor, which took in the sole surviving standing stone, before heading to the trig. Too hazy to fully appreciate the views across to the Cheviots, however the views in all directions were still pretty impressive nonetheless.

Great views towards The Cheviots. Accessed via the Doddington golf course carpark, they're happy to allow visitors to park and explore this area which also has a Cup & Ring marked rock. Skylarks were a-twittering and the sun was blazing on this late February day.

Parked about 1 km NE of Doddington village just past 'Cheviot View' at the junction of tracks where the track to the Golf Club turns sharp right by a large sign for the quarry. Walked up to the Golf Club and followed the ROW to the top of the golf course and through a gate, short walk along a good path to the left leads up to a stile from where the TP is visible. Excellent views in all directions, slightly disorientating as you'd expect the view of the sea to be to the east, however the only view of the sea is looking directly north, towards Berwick on Tweed. Returning to the top of the golf course we turned left and walked a short distance towards the Shepherd's House, just before it is a path that skirts NW round the ancient settlement before dropping down to Doddington, and a brisk walk back along the Golf Club road to our starting point. All extremely pleasant!
