Took the public right of way (PRoW) from the church in Dodleston. Once out of the village, walked along the fence line down to the field immediately to the right of the field in which the pillar is located. Then walked through an open gate up to the pillar. Managed to avoid having to climb over any gates or under any electric fences using this route.
