Free road parking NS 3588 9290. Mapped path up. Dropped off SSW, then W on grass. Patchy bracken on climb to Doune Hill easily avoided. On to Cruach an t-Sidhein, Beinn Eich and down to stile (NS 3255 9401) to Edentaggart (path indistinct - would be hard to find going up) where lovely lady with car parked at NS 3262 1414 (room for one car only) drove me down to the A82. Hardest part of walk was crossing that road! Excellent walk.

Parked at Glen Douglas. We avoided Doune farm via field gates to the east and ascended the very long steep ATV track to the East Top then summit. Perfect conditions with not a cloud in the sky and views for miles. We headed over Beinn Lochain and Beinn Eich, descended and came back through the isolated and wet Glen Mollochan. Nobody about. Very windy.

|Set off from Luss to do 4 out of the 6 Grahams in the Luss Hills. Beautiful conditions, crisp snow, blue skies , clear air so views for miles. Only managed 3of 4 and managed to leave my mobile at the Trig point but this was returned to me later by 2 other walkers I met there who had climbed up from Glen Douglas. One of them drove to the head of Glen Luss, met me coming off the hill and saved me a 4km trudge along the road back to Luss. ( the other waited at the footbridge over the road in case they missed me crossing it. Brilliant assistance from 2 fellow walkers.

Don't do it my way! Messed up the ascent from the end of the track in Glen Luss. Was heading for Cruach an t-Sithein thinking it was Doune Hill. This made for a hard, gradual ascent up the flank of the hill. Slow progress meant I didn't get up Beinn Chaorach as planned as the clock was ticking for the ferry back to Rowardennan.

Good condition pillar. FB faces SE-ish with all sightholes except NE-ish open and clear through with pillar bolt visible. Cap missing with asphalt plug in place. Stupendously expansive views today to Ailsa Craig, Goat Fell, Duncolm, Ben Lomond, Ben More, Arrochar Alps and out to Jura. Superb! Came up as per clochandighter's route and descended via the bealach to the SW towards Creag Tharsuinn. Planned to descend via mapped tracks before discovering a giant military fence (shown on 1:25k)! Skirted round that to the east and followed the road back along Glen Douglas.

vgc, asphalt plug. Fine summit, great views, extending W to Jura. Took in the Graham Top en route. 3rd of the day, set off up stupidly late but being at the summit for the last luminous minutes of the day made up for the interesting misty descent in gathering darkness (thankful for a GPS track to follow back down!).

Pillar completed 1st September 1956 costing £27.17s.10d, computed in 1957 and last maintained by the OS in May 1980, Parking at NS329979, walk public road to Doune Farm. Farmer confirmed that the best route to the summit was through the back gate of the farmyard and follow the steep track to the east shoulder which leads to the 701m top first. After that there is a drop of 70m and a further climb of 100m. From the trig point there is a rewarding 360° panorama which includes Beinn Reithe, The Brack, Beinn Donich, Beinn Ime, Beinn Narnain, Beinn Bhreac (Invergroin), Ben More and Ben Lomond. Score for the solitude and the view. Great views out across the sea to Ailsa Craig and also a stunning ringside seat for viewing the Arrochar alps. No-one else but us here today. Climbed from Glen Douglas, started just east of Doune Farm. Rounded grassy hills. The north east top of this hill has better views than the highest top with the trig pillar. Well worth a visit. Details taken from my hill diary before I started noting the FB numbers on the trigs.
