Exceptional day's walking taking in both Driesh and Mayar. Quiet on both tops except for the flitting skylarks. The pillar on Driesh has an open cap, today filled with a fresh looking banana skin (some people have no respect for our wonderful surveying tradition), and all the sight-holes were hidden.

From ENE, started up the Kilbo path but with no particular need to revisit Mayar and with another route in mind for later, I headed straight up from NO269750, keeping to R side of a gully - nice ascent. Took a more direct descent to same point, straightforward but less pleasant.
