I had parked on the quieter road opposite so had to carefully negotiate crossing here before commencing my search. Not too long and I spotted it uncovered still under the tree/bush.

The block was nicely exposed and easily spotted on the wide verge of a dual carriage way. The original Severn Bridge can be seen to the north and the low wooded ridge that marks the northern outskirts of Bristol can be seen a few miles to the south. There is a better view of the river and the bridge from the nearby road to Old Passage; strong winds were causing the river to splash over onto the nearby fields. The river and adjacent fields are part of the Severn Estuary SSSI.
