Walked up from the "Hill Walkers Car Park" (nice touch, thank you) on road to Moorfoot Farm in deep snow, treacherous ice and thick fog. Would probably have struggled to find the TP on the top without GPS so poor was visibility. Plans to carry on round to Blackhope Scar abandoned as much because one Trig Point with no views is enough for one day. When I do bag Blackhope Scar I'll reverse todays route and do this one again, on a day when I can hopefully award Dundreich the score it undoubtedly deserves.

Parked on road to Moorfoot Farm (NT291528) then up via Blackhope Scar and around ridge via Bowbeat Hill for a leisurely lunch on Dundreich but those cumulus nimbus clouds were building up to the south. Checked my weather app which showed some pritty nasty weather not far away so beat a hasty retreat back to the car via Jeffries Corse and a good path down over Cotly Hill and got to the car before a thunderstorm and even a tornado not that far away.
