Cycled down Manor Road and chained my bike to a fence outside Durley Manor Farm. Took the walking path to the left of the farm entrance and continued following this for about 100 metres between two fences. Good to see one fence has been built around the Trig to incorporate the pillar onto the pathway. This nice bit of planning foresight means you don't need to climb any fences. The padlock that appeared around 2015 is still attached to the top.

Pulled over at entrance to property where looked like building work going on, but no activity at the time being a Saturday. Next to entrance to footpath running east. Slightly uphill for about 100 metres, getting a bit nervous with well constructed fence on either side with barbed wire along the top. Well, top marks to footpath builders who have incorporated the pillar into the accessible area. Easy access. Extra marks for considerate local planners. Reasonable views to the east.

Pillar located on fenced path beside farm. Rather wonderfully, the fence has been diverted to enclose the pillar on the path side rather than on the farm side. Padlock still affixed to one of the loops.

accessed using a footpath from the bottom of Tangiers Ln. in Bishops Waltham en route from Lane End Down to the Fair Oak Trigpoint. You can get to it much quicker if you access along the footpath that leads from Manor Rd, found by the side of a large farm building. Either sides of the footpath are fence off, so you cannot miss it. Fairly good views although the fencing prevents decent photos.

Parked at pull-in just to north of the farm, walked back and into field which is no longer lawn quality! Pillar still has it's padlock, good views although hazy.

I talked to a man cutting the grass by the side of the road where the FP to this trig starts. He said the trig was a Sundial. When i got up there I saw there was a padlock on it but no sundial.

Easy access as virtually on RoW in an open pasture, although hesitate to call it that, perhaps slopey bowling green better description! Pillar in good condition; original cap in place, indented lettering; rear sight hole open. Near 360deg views, a little limited to W & SW.

Circular walk from Waltham Chase to here and onwards to Durley Street. In middle of an immaculately mown turf field. Good views incl the downs on the IoW. Metal cap, shallow letters, vgc.

Area is used for growing turfs. Good views to SE. Pillar does not look as if it has ever been painted. Retains plug, shallow indented lettering.

How nice it is to walk on springy turf. Previous visitors cuttings are now a brown and green area current walk to the trig is like a bowling green

I rather liked this site. Pleasant rural views on all sides and nice access via a FP across a grassy field. The ajoining farm advertised turf and sure enough in the lower part of the same (huge) field, turf was being lifted.
