Heading down the M6 so took a short detour to bag a couple of easy trigs in the area. Parked in the passing place by the reservoir on Duxon Hill lane and hopped over the gate with all the warning signs. A short distance up to the reservoir where I grabbed a couple of photos, had a walk around the general area and climbed the ladder to take a photo of the roof. Could hear some voices and decided to make a swift exit back to the car. No views at all but flooded reservoir was nice.

Stones throw away from Hoghton FBM. I feared that the trig was within the reservoir compound (which has usual water authority security including barbed wire on surrounding wall etc). Have since obtained info that trig was built 03/08/45 and subsequently destroyed on 28/10/48. Trig only just made it to it's 3rd birthday - infanticide.
