My OS 1:50k shows this trig - but it is the 1973 version I used to write my undergraduate geography dissertation. Lovely field of wheat waiting to be harvested, but certainly no trig! [FB for logging purposes only].

This has definitley, as the others have said, gone, had a walk up the track from the road whilst in the area for a spot of geocaching and then completed a round and there was still nothing there when we came up from the edge of Long Springs Wood.

No sign. Co-ordinates indicated middle of open field (still shown as BM 114.89m on 1:10 000 map). Enormous heaps of rubble, including lots of pieces of concrete, at NW corner of field (SK668607), but nothing triglike visible (though it could be buried in the heap). Spoke to local resident who remembered the pillar in situ, but had no idea what happened to it. OS website records "Revalued 1987; Demolished 98"

The position is in the middle of a wheat field and it's gone. I also searched the hedge at the bottom of the field between the wheat and broad beand but not there either. It's still on my OS Landranger map so its demise must have been recent. Nice views from here S/SW over Nottinghamshire.
