Room for a couple of cars at the end of the farm drive. Great location but the wind was blowing so hard we could barely stand up. We saw a red kite as we were walking up the drive :)

Visited Hexham on my blood doning tour of England (91 donations @ 91 different towns). The medical advice is not to do anything strenuous, but I reckoned that didn't include some easy trigbagging in the area. So this was 1 of 2 that didn't include climbing over obstacles to get to.

With my travelling companion sleeping off the effects of the LDWA Hadrian 100, I took the opportunity stretch my tired legs and visit a few of the easier pillars to the S of Hexham. Parked in pull in opposite beginning of lane up to Salmon Field farm. Pillar on high point about 500m up lane, very close to fence. You can touch it and read S number without going into field. original plug. enough leg stretching, time to get back to Hexham and the pub.

Accessible and visible being at the side of a farm driveway which is also a bridleway. Just off the track in the corner of a field abd surrounded on two sides by barbed wire. Pillar is in good condition with indented lettering plug. Extensive all round views.

SITE VISIT: Pillar in good condition. Spider retains OS centre cap with deep indented letters. Flush bracket faces NNW, ~339°. Vented through SE sight hole.
