2 pillars less than 500m apart? Something within the hallowed walls of the OS must have stirred! From Petit Tor pillar to the S. Easy access from the FP running to the E of Torquay Golf Course and parallel with the SW Coastal Path. Handy gate to pop over. GC car park was full when I drove past but this must be further along the course as not a golfer in sight - which was fortunate as access from the gate is directly across one of the fairways. Pillar has no top cap or plug; front and rear sight holes are open. Near 360deg panorama - seascapes to E and landscapes other directions. I should imagine a fine place to play golf - if that's your bag.

I cose an appropriate day to visit - Easter Sunday! Not a golfer in sight to hopped over the fence - though will have a bruise in an embarrasing place to prove that it is not that easy! There is a bell near to the trig - no doubt for golfers to warn of incoming triggers.
