Walked in and up to pillar covered with ivy. No time to clear and was asked to leave in no uncertain terms.

Aked for permission to access within site, which was given with no fuss. November is obviously a good month to access this minimise the undergrowth to climb through, but actually a comparatively easy access. Nearby tree branch is now growing around the top corner. Slight damage to top surface because of age. All views now removed by surrounding trees.

Earns the score for the effort needed to get there, especially wearing a T-Shirt and a pair of boat shoes! Ask the site owner and he's quite happy for you to go looking for it, but you'll need to scramble up a bank to see it, let alone get close.

vgc, asphalt plug, top of fort wall, mass of ivy removed, a bit of a jungle, no view. Fort has lost its gateway, is occupied by caravans, Showmans Guild.

Old fort - seems to house circus folk; one of them told me where she thought they (I presume the OS) went to make readings. Its up at the back and a complete jungle.
