(3676) All told this one passed off ok. Parked roadside at the farm, but well clear of the bend. Still a bit dodgy though. Pillar visible from the road, but the FB faces into the field. Access for that is a gate just to the W. Boggy underfoot, but nothing too bad. Pillar soon reached. Pretty ensconced in the hedge, but the only real visibility issues was for the top. All appears to be in good condition. Pillar history: Built on the 31st of January 1953, at a cost of £14 4s 4d. Last maintained by the OS in December of 1999.

2/4 with Debi. It is indeed still there! Buried deep in the hedge now, I managed to locate it and cut a way to crawl in for a photo.

Easy to find as long as you access the field via the gate and walk back up the edge until you see it.

Walked to Trig alongside hedge in field from nearby gateway. Got badly stung when taking photograph of the flush bracket as the Trig was totally hidden by nettles.

What a great name! Had to let a large group of MAMILs pass before we could park in the entrance to the field, from where there was easy access to the trig up a strip of set aside. Trig adorned with a deflated red helium balloon - metal cap, deep letters, E s/hole open, some encroaching ivy, but otherwise vgc, although v limited views across adjacent field.

Well and truly buried in the hedgerow at the side of this minor Buckinghamshire road. I couldn't find an easy way into the field to check it out from there so had to make do with a woefully inadequate photo from the verge which doesn't say much at all about it, other than it still exists! Parking is also a problem. No views from here.

Extra mark for the name. At this time of year, the pillar is discernable from the road, and reasonably clear fieldside. Cap intact.

Could not see from road so went back to opening in field & found from other side. Even then the trig is well hidden but in good condition with cap in place

Parked in a gateway near the crossroads and walked along the edge of the field. Found the pillar almost completely buried in the hedge. All intact - original plug with deeply-indented letters. Traces of paint on all faces. Sightholes below vegetation level. Moderate W views over what appears to be a set-aside field.
