Roadside verge parking at Larkbarrow Corner. 1.2k of mixed RoW and then rough tussocky grass. Bit boggy but not too bad. Pillar found with some screed from top surface missing, poss 'Slightly Damaged' but wouldn't affect functionality so classified it 'Good'. Original cap retained with lightly indented lettering; all sight holes open. Be-maoted with exposed foundations. 360deg moorland panorama.

Parked at Larkbarrow corner. Followed the Macmillan Way West for a while then took the quad bike track to the trig, which is defended by a moat. Went on to Alderman's Barrow and a fruitless half hour looking for the Madacombe stone row.

Moorland location of tussock grass with associated views. A chunk of concrete missing from a top corner otherwise good. Concrete included stones a bit larger in mix. Retains plug which had a very small AU stamped on it. Official or not?

Some erosion at the top and around the base. I found space to park in the road about 500m ENE of the nearby bend.
